Catholic Health was formed in 1998, at the urging of Bishop Henry J. Mansell, when several hospitals, nursing homes and clinics operated by religious orders, Catholic Charities and the Diocese of Buffalo came together under one organization.  In the years since, it has grown to become one of the largest health systems in Western New York, serving hundreds of thousands of patients across its network of hospitals, long-term and subacute care facilities, primary care centers, home care agencies, rehabilitation services, and diagnostic & treatment centers. 

2023 marks the 25th anniversary of Catholic Health's founding.  To celebrate this achievement, the Foundations of Catholic Health will be hosting the 25th anniversary Gala on October 21, 2023.  This gala will be the first time that all five foundations have come together for an evening of elegance and festivity.
